Römermuseum

The Roman Museum on the Hoher Markt is built over the excavated remains of two Roman officers' houses from the legionary camp of Vindobona. Visitors walk above in-situ foundations and underfloor heating channels among finds from the first to third centuries. The displays reconstruct daily life in the garrison that preceded medieval Vienna.
